The Last Sacred Bear

Here’s another screen grab from Zbrush of my current project which I’ll hopefully have done in time for Halloween.  I’m basing them on the characters from Mayhem, a book by Sarah Pinborough I read recently on Holiday and really enjoyed.

Next project!

Next project!

Here’s the final Kurt from Nowhere Men fanart sculpt.  No plans to texture this or anything as it’s already taken a lot longer than I anticipated!

I’ll try and do a turntable video in Zbrush soon.  Maybe a 3d print, although it’s size and complexity may make that idea a bit ambitious (it’s definitely possible though, especially with Zbrush 64-bit around the corner!).

Thought I’d practice my Modo rendering with my recent Samuel re-sculpt :)

Part of a larger sculpt. I’m having to decimate things a lot and work in parts, as Zbrush can’t handle the amount of geo I’m working with!

A bit more progress…

A bit more progress…

My latest diversion: update… So i’ve decided to do a more complicated scene, i guess it’s kind of ambitious :).  Here are the sculpts in progress, note that I tend to keep malleable things like clothing smooth and ‘foldless’ in t-pose, I’ll then sculpt into them in the final pose.  This will allow me to iterate different characters from the same model and maintain a more dynamic look for each (hopefully).  I’ve sculpted up the boots a little more though as they were too much fun…
